The Harbinger Cafe & Bakery is located on King Street in Downtown Charleston, SC. Established in 2017, our cafe/ bakery has been serving the community with breakfast, lunch, pastries and coffees in a cozy, welcoming environment with dedication and enthusiasm all these years– with many more to come!
Everything is made in house with our very own recipes, crafted and perfected over time, assuring you’ll find new and exciting treats and bites you never knew existed. Come enjoy a bit of everything, take a load off, and and stay a while.

Our Story
The Harbinger opened true to its name, as “something good to come”, providing the community of Charleston with something uniquely hers.
She’s meant to be yours: your spot, your most-loved treat, your favorite latte. She’s yours to be shown off to friends visiting, family in town for the holidays and for the first time you bring your new romance.
Every single recipe is pulled from our personal history + relationship to food and is hand-crafted and solely made here with ingredients mostly sourced from the south– you’ll find local rye flour, milk, salt, honey + tons of local produce.
The Harb’s a cozy cafe where folks feel welcomed and find nourishment while savoring the many sweet moments of life.
